Premier Houseboats are pleased to present Lelahne, an historic Admirals barge converted from steam to diesel in the 1950's and now available on a secure residential mooring.
Lelahne has been lived on by her current owner for over 20 years, and has been taken out of the water regularly for maintenance. She has just had the hull scraped, and her previous lift out was 5 years ago when the hull was stripped, surveyed and then painted.
Lelahne is in good mechanical order and runs very well. She has a Teak on Oak frame hull and a Mahogany on Oak frame superstructure. She is in need of a paint externally, and some modernisation internally, however she is surprisingly roomy and can be an extremely comfortable home.
She currently boasts a good sized double cabin, with a toilet cubicle and separate shower cubicle either side of the boat. There is a nice sized galley area with gas oven, fridge and sink, together with ample storage.
The wheelhouse is a good size, with panoramic views that can be utilized whether static or cruising. the large aft saloon currently houses a washing machine and a freezer, and has built in seating and a removable dining table. This could also be used to create a further double or two single berths. She has a gas boiler for hot water, a diesel air heater and a diesel drip feed heater.
Externally there is good deck space to enjoy your surroundings. This classic motor cruiser has all bronze fittings, and has been extremely well built. She is registered on the National Historic Ships Register, and can become a very affordable and comfortable home, with enough to do to put your own mark on her without needing any major work.
